Teaching and Learning: Quality & Support

Providing all students with relevant, meaningful and accessible learning experiences that create a passion for lifelong learning and the ability to thrive and prosper is paramount. WMU’s faculty and staff work tirelessly to ensure that high-quality instruction and support resources are available.

Teaching and Learning: Evaluation & Improvement

Assessment and evaluation processes occur regularly, take many forms, and touch every corner of campus. As a data-driven university committed to constant improvement, we act upon our findings to learn from the past, adapt to changes and shape the future.

Institutional Effectiveness, Resources, and Planning

We strategically align our resources and adapt to the ever-changing needs of our constituents by regularly examining and responding to the data we’ve collected related to our institutional goals.

In response to the needs of the future, WMU will complete the transition to the Strategic Resource Management budget model this summer. To further strengthen academic programming and to maximize available resources, Academic Affairs is currently engaged in reorganization efforts focused on interdisciplinarity
