Early Intervention Team

The Early Intervention Team’s role is to focus on the well-being and safety of students within the campus community who may be experiencing difficulty or are of concern to others. The goal of the EIT is to address concerns in an expedient manner and respond collaboratively when a student is in crisis. The team meets bi-weekly to assess the students’ needs, make appropriate campus and community referrals and determine follow-up.

The Early Intervention Team is a multidisciplinary campus committee that includes the following representatives:

  • Associate Vice President for Student Affairs
  • Case Manager for Student Affairs
  • Director of Sindecuse Health Center
  • Director of Counseling Services
  • Director of Disability Services for Students
  • Director of Residence Life
  • Director of Counseling and Psychological Services
  • Deputy Chief of WMU Police
