Grade appeal

The Grade Appeal process is designed for a student who wants to appeal a final course grade that has been recorded by the registrar on a student’s academic record.

Hardship withdraw appeal

This process is the only mechanism by which a Western Michigan University student can withdraw from a course once the student-initiated withdraw period for a given semester has passed.

Non-attendance withdraw appeal

This process is the only mechanism by which a student can withdraw from a course they never once attended or, in the case of an online course, they never participated in, once the student-initiated withdraw period for a given semester has passed.

Program dismissal appeal

The Program Dismissal Appeal process is designed for a student who is seeking reinstatement in a program.
