The Department of Sociology highly values our partnerships with social service and criminal justice agencies and organizations who provide valuable real-world internships and projects for our students. We maintain a list of partners and can assist students in finding an internship. It is also possible for students to request a placement that they have investigated on their own. In most cases, academic credit can be arranged (this must be arranged in advance). Acceptance to an internship is by no means automatic; in many ways, it is like applying for a job. Many internships require good academic performance and references. We encourage students interested in internships to contact Dr. Zoann Snyder at email@example.com for more detail.
The application deadline for Summer and Fall internships is March 15.
The application deadline for Spring internships is October 15.
