Western Michigan University (WMU) has a large variety of campus programs to engage students. These events are great ways to find out what is happening on campus and also feel connected with other students, campus life, and Kalamazoo as a whole. Attending these events truly enhances your college experience. Look below for some of our annual events!
Bronco Bash
Bronco Bash is WMU's annual welcome back festival that helps students transition into campus life each fall. Annually, an estimated 20,000 students and community members attend. In addition, over 450 booths participate as well. Booths include: registered student organizations (RSOs), campus departments, local businesses, and community organizations. Bronco Bash is a celebration of the community ties between WU and Kalamazoo. Not only is Bronco Bash the largest annual, on-campus event, but arguably the most influential.
This year is Bronco Bash's 40th in-person anniversary! Bash will be on August 30th from 3:00pm - 6:00pm and booths will line W. Michigan Ave. into parts of campus. See you there! For more information, visit our website below.
Campus Activities Board
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is one of the largest student organizations on campus. CAB works to bring entertainment to campus and they typically host weekly events during the semester. These events have consisted of large concerts, comedians, movies, magicians, and more. You can join CAB and help bring these events to campus or support them by simply attending their events.
Homecoming
Homecoming (HC) is an annual celebration of school spirit. The HC football game will be on October 15th, but there will be activities throughout the week leading up to the game. Additionally, upper classmen can apply to be on Homecoming Court which is a large tradition in the WMU community. If elected to be on Court, you could have a chance to be awarded the honor of Homecoming Royalty during the halftime show. For more information and the event lineup, please visit our website below.
