Campus Programs

Western Michigan University has a wide array of large campus programs to engage students. Your WMU experience will not be complete without getting involved with the opportunities listed below! These events are great ways to find out what is happening on campus and also get better connected with the campus community and beyond.


Bronco Bash

Bronco Bash is WMU’s annual welcome back festival which assists students in transitioning back to campus life each fall! An estimated 20,000 students and community members attend annually. Over 450 booths participate to share information, market services, and sign-up volunteers. Booths include: registered student organizations, campus departments, local businesses, and community organizations. This celebration of the WMU and Kalamazoo communities is unlike any other event, don’t miss your opportunity to attend, or get involved with this tradition! 

Virtual Bash 2021 will take place on September 10th, 2021, from 4pm-7pm, via an online platform called Degy World. The in-person Swag Bag Drive-Thru event will take place the following week, September 17th. For more information, visit our website below.

Campus Activities Board

The Campus Activities Board—CAB—is one of the largest student organizations on campus and they work to bring entertainment to campus. CAB typically hosts an event per week during the semester. Events typically include large concerts, comedians, movies, magicians, special events and more. Join this group or attend an event to get involved.

Our annual traditions and also new events are included each year during homecoming week. Be a part of the student traditions that have happened for decades. Form teams with your friends and/or RSO to compete for prizes in games and fun activities!
