How to join

Students have the opportunity to seek membership in over 30 organizations. Learn how to join a fraternity or sorority at Western Michigan University by attending programs during Summer Orientation, Fall Welcome Week, or Bronco Bash. Additionally, these organizations will host informational events where you can come and learn more about what the process would entail, and what life is like as a member of our Fraternity and Sorority CommunityYou can also find more information on seeking membership below. National Pan-Hellenic Council and Multicultural Greek Council

Want to learn more about the sororities on campus affiliated with NPHC and MGC?! Join us on Sunday, September 10th to meet affiliated women, learn more about the sororities, and have a chance to win some raffle prizes! Sororities include: Delta Tau Lambda, Sigma Lambda Gamma, Delta Sigma Theta, Sigma Gamma Rho, Delta Xi Nu, Alpha Kappa Alpha, and Lambda Theta Alpha.

Panhellenic recruitment

Panhellenic sorority recruitment is a mutual selection process, whereby National Panhellenic Conference sororities at Western Michigan University and potential members select one another for lifetime membership. Potential members' rights and responsibilities will be explained at the Info Night event on Sept. 19, 2017.

Participating chapters

Important information

All women wishing to participate in Panhellenic sorority recruitment must be a regularly enrolled, full-time student at Western Michigan University for Fall 2017. Please note that every chapter has its own minimum GPA requirement for new members of at least 2.5 cumulative GPA.

A non-refundable fee of $26.50 must be paid in full by noon on Sept. 20, 2017. Payments can be made in the following ways:

1. Check made out to the Panhellenic Council (mailed/dropped off to the Student Engagement office: 223 Bernhard Center, Kalamazoo, MI 49008-5356)

2. Cash at any pre-recruitment event or in the Student Engagement office (223 Bernhard Center)

3. Greek Bill online payment system (The Greek Bill window will automatically appear during online registration)
