The American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) is a global organization focused on programming, research, events, advocacy, and campus-based projects that support and propel innovations to improve educational quality and equity for the success of all students. The Gardner Institute is a non-profit leader in advancing teaching, student learning, success, retention, and completion. The Institute works in collaboration with universities such as Western Michigan to advance equity, social justice and upward mobility through higher education.
All WMU faculty, staff, and students can take advantage of the support offered through our partnership with the Gardner Institute. Our current initiative with the Institute is Gateways to Completion (G2C), a course redesign project to positively transform teaching, learning and reducing failure rates in lower division and/or developmental education “gateway” courses through working directly with faculty and staff.
