Congratulations on your admission to Western Michigan University! Your hard work has paid off, and we welcome you to the Bronco family! Your first step is to let us know that you plan to attend.
Confirming your admission, including the payment of your enrollment deposit, lets us know that you plan to enroll at Western Michigan University. This deposit is required of all first-time first-year and transfer students when you confirm your admission in the Gold Gateway. The $100 deposit is credited toward your first semester’s tuition and is payable online with a credit card or via electronic check. The enrollment deposit is waived for Pell Grant-eligible students, which is determined by your FAFSA.
Students planning to enroll at WMU for fall 2025 should confirm (deposit) by the May 1 deadline; however, students may still confirm their admission after June 1 for most programs.* Students who wish to cancel their admission after they confirm can receive a refund on the deposit until May 1.
*Students admitted into aviation flight science or direct admission to the Bronson School of Nursing must confirm their admission by May 1 to reserve their spot in the program. Students admitted to majors within the Departments of Dance and Theatre needed to submit their enrollment confirmation (deposit) by May 1; those with questions should contact Thom Cooper in the College of Fine Arts.
