Bio: 

Aurora is a MS student in the Department of Biological Sciences and her supervising professor is Dr. Silvia Rossbach.  Her areas of study include microbial ecology, bioremediation, and genetic analysis. Her master’s research involves an investigation of the stratified and synergistic communities of microbes surrounding an oil spill in Bemidji, Minnesota. Her efforts will contribute to a better understanding the successive mechanism of oil degradation via microbial metabolism.
