Our program has positions at both the masters and doctoral level and include a number of benefits to help you in your studies.

  • This unpaid internship meets all the requirements for the CECP 6130 internship experience, including 600 hours of internship, supervision by an LPC/LP. Bridging opportunities are occasionally available as well. These meet the 25 total and 10 group counseling hours required for that experience.
  • In the internship, students will gain experience with assessment interpretation, clinical responsibilities, working with a college student population, teaching, and being part of a supportive team.
  • This internship spans the fall and spring semester and requires 20 hours a week of service.
  • For more information, please contact the Career Counseling Coordinator, Dr. Mark St. Martin.

Doctoral Graduate Assistantship (GA)

  • This doctoral GA position is designed to help students gain experience in teaching, assessment interpretation, career counseling, outreach and research presentations, and collaborative teamwork.
  • If students are working on collecting hours for their LPC/LP, this position provides free supervision by an LPC/LP at both the individual and group level. Students may also count their GA hours toward their LLPC/TLLP, if they hold those limited licenses.
  • Duties of this position include teaching the UNIV 1020 course(s), presenting to groups and classes on campus about career counseling and mental health, assessment interpretation, career counseling, and clinical duties. Individuals who move into the senior career counselor position may have the opportunity to provide weekly supervision to master’s level career counseling interns and oversee intern activities.
