Confucius Institute at WMU

  • The Confucius Institute at WMU is a nonprofit organization created to provide learning opportunities for Chinese language and culture on the Western Michigan University campus and in the Southwest Michigan community.
  • The Institute was established in 2009 through a partnership between WMU, Beijing Language and Culture University and the Confucius Institute Headquarters and is hosted by the Haenicke Institute for Global Education.
  • The Confucius Institute's partnerships have dramatically expanded international opportunities for regional K-12 schools and local businesses.
