2024 Women in Economic Symposium

Posted by Christine Hummel for Economics

The WMU Department of Economics is hosting a watch party for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’ 2024 Women in Economics Symposium to help celebrate the role that women have played in the economy and the economics profession—and that they will play going forward.

The agenda includes panel discussions on "What you can do with a BA or MA in economics", "What you can do with a PhD in economics" and "Designing your career: finding your first job" where you will learn practical tips for picking a career path, applying for jobs, and so much more. We will also hear from Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler on the economy and what the future of economics will hold.

Food and drink will be provided for all attendees. This event is open to all interested WMU students, faculty, and staff.
