Bio:

Dr. Meng is a physical geographer with research interest and expertise in lake-effect snowfall variability, land-atmosphere interactions, climate variability and climate changes well as their impacts on hydrological and terrestrial ecosystems. He uses multiple statistical methods to investigate inter-annual variability in snow, summer drought, and extreme temperatures in both US and East Asian regions. He also uses the Community Earth System Model (CESM) to investigate hydrological and biogeochemical processes that are interactive with climate.
