Dr. Ge (Jeff) Pu is a geospatial and environmental scientist with a background in environmental engineering. His research develops and applies quantitative and observational approaches to better understand and monitor freshwater systems across spatial scales, from streams and rivers to large lakes. His work integrates satellite and aerial remote sensing, in situ observations, sensor networks, and statistical modeling to study aquatic and riparian environments, with interests spanning river and riparian dynamics, winter limnology, water-quality monitoring, and environmental uncertainty. Through his research and teaching, he aims to advance practical applications of remote sensing, GIS, environmental sensing, and data science for understanding and managing freshwater resources.
