Facilities Management project deadlines announced for FY25 end

As we approach the end of the fiscal year and enter the busiest part of the construction and renovation season, please be aware that any new project request submissions may not be guaranteed for completion during the summer. Along with this, the deadline to encumber project costs with FY25 funding is May 16. It is important that you note “FY25” on any Bronco Project Request where you would like funds encumbered. Signed project budge approvals for FY25 funding must be returned to the Facilities Management (FM) project manager with “FY25” confirmed on the form by June 13.

On June 27, the Budget Office will receive a list of projects from FM that meet criteria to be encumbered to FY26: funded with fund 11 dollars, doesn't have a fund 63, not closed as of June 30 and has unused funding allocated. Departments need to plan the project’s June 30 ending balance so the fund 11 has adequate funds. The encumbrance won't be seen in GLOW this fiscal year. The funding will be returned next fiscal year to the same cost center. Funding questions can be directed to monica.orsolini@wmich.edu.
