Construction on Ring Road North to begin on May 18
Posted by Laura Kirkendall on May 8, 2026Road construction on Ring Road North will occur from May 18 through June 30 and will involve a road closure and traffic under flag control.
A closure with no thru traffic will affect a small section of Ring Road North in front of Valley Dining Center, including the pedestrian bridge over Goldsworth Valley Pond, from May 19-25. This closure is needed for safety upgrades and bridge resealing.
Following this work, Ring Road North from Ellsworth Hall to the Valley 1 intersection will be under flag control from June 2-11 for concrete removal and replacement, supporting new sidewalk installation. Asphalt removal and replacement of the road will take place in June on a date to be determined; each phase will take one day, with flag control remaining in place.
