Dr. Donna Talbot is a Professor of Educational Leadership, Higher Ed at Western Michigan University, specializing in higher education and student affairs leadership. She earned a Ph.D. in administration of college student affairs from the University of Maryland-College Park, an Ed.S. in counselor education with a specialty in college personnel administration from the University of Florida, a M.Ed. in special education from Lesley College, and a B.A. in sociology from Amherst College. Dr. Talbot has studies and worked in higher education for over 30 years.
Dr. Talbot teaches, among other courses, equity and diversity in higher education, foundations of student affairs and administration, administration and governance in higher education, and teaching for diversity and inclusion in higher education. Her research interests focus on diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education, more specifically focusing on international populations, as well as Asian Americans and students with multiple minority identities. Dr. Talbot also researches the experiences of minoritized faculty and staff in higher education.
