Dr. Zac Williams is a professor of marketing at Western Michigan University.
He joined WMU in 2018, after being on faculty at Central Michigan University. Prior to academics, Williams worked for a global consulting firm advising a diverse set of clients on supply chain-related issues. He also spent time with a technology firm—a small joint venture start-up between the four major U.S. automakers. He remains engaged with the logistics and supply chain industry, consulting with a variety of clients.
Williams has published articles across various disciplines and in numerous journals including:

- Supply Chain Management Review
Williams earned a number of awards for his research including best papers in track at conferences, outstanding paper awards and peer reviewing awards. His doctoral research on supply chain security was recognized with awards from the Institute for Supply Management and the Supply Chain Management Research Center in the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. In addition, he has previously been recognized with service and teaching awards, winning the doctoral student teaching award at both the college of business and university levels.
Williams is actively engaged in internship and external ISM program engagement at WMU.
