2023 honoree

After graduation, Jim Cupper joined the U.S. Air Force where he served as an air traffic controller. After receiving an honorable discharge, Cupper enrolled at WMU and upon graduation worked for Burroughs Corporation as an account executive. He subsequently worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as a civilian air traffic controller prior to joining Beardsley & Company, as a writer and account executive. He then became a senior account executive at STAP. Cupper concluded his career as a senior brand strategist for McCrosky Marketing Communications.

Our history, your legacy

Our history means that you will have a promising future as a graduate from the Department of Marketing.  Since its founding in 1963, the department has graduated over 20,000 students, preparing them for exciting careers in a variety of industries.

Less than 6% of business schools worldwide have obtained AACSB accreditation—and WMU Haworth is one of them, making it an excellent choice for students seeking quality education that is a good investment of their tuition dollars. WMU Haworth has maintained its AACSB accreditation since 1970 for undergraduate programs and 1981 for its graduate programs.
