New officers have been announced for the Emeriti Council, which represents all retired WMU faculty members. Drs. Peter Krawutschke and James Bosco have been named chair and vice chair, respectively.

WMU faculty, students and guest cellist Alexa Muhly will perform music inspired by whale songs at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. A 7 p.m. discussion will precede the performance.

June Mochizuki, WMU associate professor emerita of counseling, died Oct. 29 at age 92. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, in Denver.

Falsehoods and bigotry in the news will be discussed at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. A March for Racial Equity will precede the discussion from 2 to 4 p.m. Both events are open to the public and part of a daylong event to open the Great Lakes PeaceJam's new program year.
