2018 Assessment Excellence Award Recipients

Each year, the University Assessment Steering Committee (UASC) bestows three awards to recognize outstanding achievement in outcomes assessment. The three awards are the UASC Assessment Excellence Collaboration Award, Individual Award and Unit Award.

Since 2007, we have presented these awards to highlight, honor and make an example of best practices in assessment of student learning at WMU. Following are the names of the winners for the 2018 awards, which were announced at the annual WMU Assessment in Action Conference on Friday, March 16, 2018:

  • 2018 Collaboration Award: Betsy Drummer (Director Academic Advising, Haworth College of Business), Danielle Field (Program Manager, Student Professional Readiness Series (SPuRS), Haworth College of Business), and Geralyn Hesytek (Director, Business Career Center)
  • 2018 Individual Award: James Cousins, (Associate Dean, College of Arts and Sciences)
  • 2018 Unit Award: School of Public Affairs and Administration
