Northern Jet Management, Inc. is an innovative aviation business that services both the corporate and personal travel industry. Headquartered at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan and with bases in Naples, Florida and Wheeling, Illinois, Northern Jet Management manages a fleet of 21 jet aircraft.

Northern Jet Management is seeking a Full-time Scheduler to join our Grand Rapids Team. The ideal candidate will be a quick thinker, team player, and have a passion for continuously providing a high level of service to our clients. The Scheduler serves as the central point of contact for passengers, flight crew members, and the Maintenance Department. The position is responsible for scheduling aircraft and crew and for arranging all services for scheduled trips.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the scheduling of aircraft and crew members for all company aircraft movements in compliance with 135 or 91 regulations.
  • Quote clients for charter requests based on destination and length of stay, manage and input all flight data for billing purposes per client based on their contract or quote.
  • Coordinate all needed services for the flight crew and client, such as ground services, catering, fuel contracts, contingency plans, etc. Support the flight crew by providing any needed information for preparing the flight or relaying messages to clients, book crew hotel rooms, rental cars and airline tickets.
  • Manages schedule deviations with customers and crews; update paperwork with the changes.
  • Assists the PIC by providing any needed information for preparing the flight or relaying messages to the Scheduling Manager or other management personnel.
  • Arrange for U.S. Customs clearance for all international flights.
  • Request for airport slot reservations when necessary.
  • Produce and compile all necessary trip documents prior to each flight, such as Flight Release, General Declarations, fuel release forms, and service confirmation.
  • Document trip information into proprietary software including: Input trip expenses, and maintain customer/crew profiles, contact information customs information.
  • Submit Advance Passenger Information System reports to TSA for all flights, and arrange for U.S. Customs clearance for all international flights.
  • Follow the progress of all company aircraft movements after departure, until its arrival and its destination. Record and manage all deviations.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Operations and the Director of Maintenance, for any emergency notifications that are required.
  • Supports the front desk by answering incoming calls, addressing customer service issues.
  • Other duties as assigned to conduct business.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Aviation Operations or similar field
  • Aircraft or Travel Scheduling experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop a rapport with customers and internal staff. Strong commitment to un-compromised customer service.
  • Ability to meet schedules and deadlines as well as able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to perform with consistent accuracy, thoroughness/orderliness; Detail-oriented.
  • Submit to an initial drug test along with random drug and alcohol testing in order to comply with safety and company guidelines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
