USA Jet: Lift Optimization Specialist

Primary Purpose

USA Jet Lift Optimization Specialist is responsible for bidding USA Jet aircraft based upon cost, payload, freight readiness, and protect time.

Major Responsibilities

  • Utilizes company owned equipment and personnel to maximize profit
  1. Responsible for coordinating USA Jet aircraft positioning to maximize profit and in position timing
  2. Communicate with USA Jet Crew Coordinators the need for additional crews based upon business levels
  • Must be familiar with all types of aircraft capacity, including cabin and door sizes, weight, temperature and runway restrictions, ground equipment requirements
  • Have continuous knowledge of all Part 121 & 125 industry tail numbers for availability (air worthiness and crewing) for updated network lift capacity
  • Works in tandem with customer service Floor Manager(s) to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Networks with sales team, customer care, and other internal/external sources to understand current demand
  • Responsible for financial reporting to executive management on aircraft pricing
  • Have working knowledge and capabilities to assist in crew coordination functions, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required

N/A

Education and/or Experience Required

  • 6 years related experience and/or training in the field of Expedited Transportation; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Preferred

  • Demonstrated performance with customer service etiquette, “grace under pressure”, active listening, and commitment to excellence
  • General knowledge of international operations including but not limited to documentation and border crossing requirements
  • Working knowledge of all USA Jet airframes, their load capabilities/limitations, and performance data
  • Working knowledge of key requirements for major customers
  • General knowledge of hazardous materials requirements
  • General capability to determine transit times and HOS
  • Working knowledge of the Ascent/USA Jet guiding principles
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
  • Capable of coordinating efforts and collaborating with various parties with conflicting agenda
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple activities to meet deadlines
  • Able to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with management, various departments, and customers
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Computer software knowledge of key Microsoft Office platforms including Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Proficient understanding of operational aspects and procedures of all business units of Ascent On-Demand
  • · Available to work off-hours and weekends
