New fee model announced for planning, design and construction projects

We are excited to announce a new budget model for projects in our planning, design and construction department. In order to improve our service to the campus community, we are moving to charging a percentage fee for projects instead of billing actual hours. The fees are based on average annual volume, to cover the operational costs for project management services. The model was developed to create equity and consistency across all projects, in order to make fees on smaller projects more predictable and affordable, while still covering the costs of the operations and staff required to provide the service. Below are the rates that will go into effect on March 1, 2024. Projects up to $100,000 - 7% fee Projects over $100,000 up to $1 million - 5% fee Projects over $1 million - 4% fee
