Self-Assessment and Exploration

Are you still trying to select your major or a career?

Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business Career Center offers career planning assessments for all business students. These assessments include Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory and FOCUS. These assessments can assist you in determining which majors and careers align with your individual interests, personality, skills and values.

Before you begin your internship or job search, it is important to review your strengths, interests, abilities, values, personal qualities, preferred work environment, transferable skills, accomplishments and contributions. This process will help you clarify your major and career interests.
