WMU DI Early Admissions Process
The WMU Dietetic Internship program (WMU DI) offers an early application option for students who are currently WMU seniors planning to finish the WMU DPD program by end of spring semester 2026. Those accepted through the early admission option will commit to attending the WMU Dietetic Internship Program in 2026-27 and bypass the normal Spring DICAS computer application and selection process.
The WMU DI plans to select up to six applicants through this process. If not all six spaces are filled, any remaining may be filled, along with the rest of the class, through the DICAS application process to a maximum of the 10 we are accredited to admit.
Procedure:
- Application: the Dietetic Internship program application is open through DICAS.
- DICAS: Applicants using the early admissions process will complete and submit their application through DICAS (https://dicas.cas.myliaison.com/applicant-ux/) by January 1, 2026.
- Letters of recommendation need also be submitted to DICAS by January 1, 2026.
- Transcripts: Arrange for your transcript, including grades for Fall 2025, be sent electronically by WMU Registrar to DICAS (follow the DICAS instructions). Fall grades will be posted on December 16. The WMU Registrar's office will close for winter break. In addition, students can request transcripts 24/7 through WMU's online partner, www.parchment.com. The WMU Registrar’s office monitors Parchment through winter break.
- For more information, applicants should also consult the WMU DI website and read the Application Process page and the Admissions checklist (pdf file) located there.
- Notification: You will be notified of the pre-select decision by mid January. If you are selected, you will receive notice of acceptance. You will be asked to sign your notice of acceptance and it is understood that you cannot accept another offer from another program.
If you are not selected through the early admission process, your application will be considered along with other applications submitted through DICAS during the Spring application process unless you indicate you do not want that. You do not pay an additional application fee to DICAS.
