Pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Education
Do you enjoy working in a marketing or business related field? Did you participate in DECA or BPA events in high school? This major prepares students to teach business, marketing, management and technology courses at the middle or secondary level. Business and marketing teachers are in high demand across the country. Most of the recent graduates in this major have secured teaching positions in the state of Michigan before graduating or immediately upon graduation.
This major is an approved program by both the State Board of Education and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, ensuring a high standard of educational quality. Upon completion, this degree directly leads to a State of Michigan Standard Certificate, which can also include a Standard CTE Vocational Certificate, enabling you to teach across various educational settings.
What you’ll learn
You will learn to teach subjects such as marketing, computer applications (including animation, website design, and digital media), management, personal finance, business law, business ethics, and accounting. The program prepares you to teach these courses at the middle or secondary level.
