Geology Minor

The Geology minor is designed as a supporting minor for students preparing to do professional work in the fields of chemistry, physics, engineering, zoology, botany and geography.

It cannot be combined with earth science as a major-minor or double minor relationship. A student may design a Geology minor for his/her specific need.

Advising

The College of Arts and Sciences offers a two-tiered advising system for undergraduates. You will receive:

  • Minor-specific advising through the faculty or staff expertise within the department. Meet with the advisor, Dr. Michelle Kominz, to complete a minor form.
  • General advising regarding University and general education requirements as well as pre-professional advising through the College of Arts and Sciences advising.

As a student with a College of Arts and Sciences major and minor, you will need to meet regularly with both a departmental and college adviser to ensure you are meeting all requirements for graduation.
