Welcome to International Student and Scholar Services. We are happy to speak with you! Our office is open Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for scheduled in-person or virtual appointments.

- Direct Service for form drop-off, pick-up, service inquiry and scheduling is available Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our office is closed daily from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.
- Express Advising with counselors on duty for topics and questions that can be addressed during a brief, 5-10 minute conversation is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday, except holidays, from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Emergency Contact Information
For police, fire or medical emergencies, call 911.
If you experience an immigration emergency after hours, such as a border or port of entry issue, contact Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch at (269) 488-8911 and ask to be directed to a WMU Public Safety officer.
This emergency number may also be used by United States Customs and Border Protection and United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement outside of normal business hours.

About the Haenicke Institute for Global Education
Your journey at Western Michigan University is a global one.
