International Student and Scholar Services

Advising

Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for scheduled in-person or virtual appointments. To make an appointment, please contact staff directly or email oiss-info@wmich.edu.

Direct service (form drop-off, pick-up, service inquiry, and scheduling) is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our office is closed daily from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.

Express advising with counselors on duty (for topics and questions that can be addressed during a brief, 5-10 min. conversation) is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

If you have an emergency, call 911 immediately. If you have a border issue (such as detainment), please contact Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch at (269) 488-8911 (ask to be directed to a WMU Public Safety officer).
