Pursue a B.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant Progression Track
Pursue a B.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant Progression Track
The Bachelor of Science in OTA Progression Track is designed for students who want to continue their education in occupational therapy without repeating foundational content. Coursework emphasizes the relationships between theory, evidence and clinical application, helping you better understand how decisions are made in practice and how outcomes are shaped.
Throughout the program, you will examine occupational therapy across multiple populations and settings, building a more complete picture of the profession. This approach supports your ability to communicate effectively, think critically about care and adapt your approach based on client needs.
Upon graduation, you will be prepared to take the next step in your professional development, including eligibility for the national certification examination required to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
You may receive 30 college credits for your previous OTA licensesure and certification, allowing you to fast-track your degree. The program is offered entirely online for maximum flexibility, though in-person options are available. Most students complete their degree in 1 to 2 years, depending on prior coursework and whether they study full- or part-time.
