Bio:

Dr. Asghar Kayani is a Professor of Physics and Chairperson of the Department of Physics at Western Michigan University. He also oversees the Tandem Van de Graaff Accelerator Laboratory, which supports a range of research and instructional activities.

Dr. Kayani is a condensed matter and surface science physicist with expertise in advanced materials, nanoparticle synthesis and characterization, sustainable energy materials, and the modification of materials through ion beam irradiation. His work also includes significant contributions to the study and fabrication of thin films..
