Visit the Department of Physics!

The best way to learn about undergraduate physics programs at Western Michigan University is to tour our facilities and meet our faculty.  

Your visit can include a one-on-one tour of our Accelerator Laboratory, Physics Student Commons, labs, and classrooms. If you'd like, you can also meet with our undergraduate advisor about the curriculum and sequence of courses for our majors and minors. Or you can chat in more general terms about the careers or areas of advanced study you will be able to pursue with a physics degree.

By the way, did you know that physics is the top-paid science major? Projected to earn an average starting salary of $65, 250, physics majors are expected to be the top-paid Class of 2016 math and sciences graduates at the bachelor’s degree level, according to results of National Association of Colleges and Employers’ winter 2016 Salary Survey.
