Housing and Dining

Living on campus is more than having a place to eat and sleep. It’s about getting the most from your college experience and building a foundation for success. Along the way, you’ll make lifelong friends, eat great food, easily connect to campus resources and events, and create memories.

Your place to recharge

WMU doesn’t believe one size fits all when it comes to campus living. Housing options include residence halls, Living Learning Communities and apartments, so you can pick what best meets your needs and interests.

Your place to eat

No matter what you’re craving, Western has choices that will satisfy your hunger. Here you’ll find a variety of dining options that meet a wide range of tastes, preferences and needs at affordable prices.

  • A variety of micro-restaurants will allow you to customize your selections or pick something quick from the Grab’n Go location in the new student center in the heart of campus. The facility opening in fall 2022 will also feature fast, casual restaurants that accept Dining Dollars, cash and credit.

  • Valley Dining Center view.

Located near the Valley residence halls, students can enjoy customizable food choices and a variety of seating options to easily gather with friends, study for that big exam or pop in for a quick bite.

  • BLT campus cafe.

Stop by one of the campus cafés, which are conveniently located in many academic buildings, before or after class for a refreshing drink, light meal or quick snack.
