Student Meal Plans

On-Campus vs Off-Campus Options

Dining Services takes care of the details, ensuring you have access to nutritious, comforting foods and allowing you to focus on their academic and co-curricular pursuits, no matter where you are living!

Students living in the residence halls versus apartments/off-campus have access to different meal plan options. Please select where you are planning to live from the links below to learn more!

Residence Halls

Students living in residence halls in the fall and spring (Valleys, Western Heights and Henry) are required to have a meal plan unless their Housing contract is for a room in Britton/Hadley (Valley 1). Students choose their meal plan when they select their room in the Housing Portal, typically in June for incoming students.

Apartments

Students living in WMU Apartments or off-campus have flexible options for dining on-campus. Students can choose to purchase Meals in Bundles of 10 at any time throughout the semester/session, or choose to purchase a Meal Plan at the beginning of each semester/session.

Components of Meal Plans

Meal Swipes

Meal swipes come with all meal plans and allow students to access the dining centers, late-night carryout, as well as Meal Exchange at participating Campus Cafés.

Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars come with GOLD meal plans and are often used at the campus cafés, Mi Pi, Fuego Verde or ReFresh Market for a la carte purchases instead of using credit or mobile payments.

Guest Passes

Guest Passes also come with GOLD meal plans, and can be used to bring family or friends into the dining center with you for a meal, instead of paying the door rate for your guests.
