Valley Dining Center

The Valley Dining Center (VDC) is a dine-in location open 7 days a week during the fall and spring semesters. A popular destination for students with or without a meal plan, as well as faculty and staff, the multi-venue dining center allows guests to customize their meal from a variety of flavorful and healthy selections.

VDC Fall and Spring Venue Hours

The Valley Dining Center is open during the fall and spring semesters, but typically closes during breaks and recesses, including Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Recess, and Spring Break. During academic semester federal holidays like Labor Day and MLK Day, the VDC remains open with typical hours.

Accordian links

  • With the demolition of Valley 3 and construction of Valley Oaks, the parking lot 59 on the north side of the VDC is no longer accessible.
  • Cars with any type of WMU permit can park in lot 97 on the west side of the Valley Dining Center.
  • ADA accessible spots are available in lot 81 directly west of the VDC loading dock.
  • Temporarily, there is no metered or guest parking spots close to the VDC. 

The Valley Dining Center was awarded a Gold certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, demonstrating continued support for the strategic goal of sustainable stewardship. The second highest award of four levels of LEED certification, the achievement is evidence of WMU's commitment to excellence and sustainability in facility design and construction.
