A sandy beach and the sea in Jordan

Most often on the weekends, my friends and I plan excursions in Jordan to venture out and explore the area. This past weekend, we visited Wadi-Mujib and the Dead Sea. Wadi-Mujib is a canyon with water running through the middle of the canyon. While at the canyon, we had to walk up the river to see the sights which was far from an easy walk in the park. The walk consisted of various harsh rapids and huge waterfalls that we had to go through. At the end of our trek, there was a large waterfall where we could dive and go down a waterslide formed by rock. Originally, I did not expect this to be such a fun excursion with beautiful scenery, but it turned out to be the favorite site that I have visited thus far.

Following Wadi-Mujib, we drove to the Dead Sea. Of course, the view was beautiful, and the water was also incredibly warm. We have heard rumors that the sea might not exist in ten to fifteen years, so I am thankful that I had the opportunity to visit and experience it. Every trip we go on seems to amaze me even more than the trip before and I am looking forward to the second half of my time here in Jordan.
