Tuition Incentive Program for Students

Incoming freshmen students who may be eligible for the Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) grant are encouraged to complete the application by the deadline on Aug. 31. If you are unsure if you are eligible for TIP, please contact the MI Student Aid Office at 1-888-447-2687or

Financial Aid Forum Session

Faculty and staff are encouraged to join the Office of Student Financial Aid for the first Financial Aid Forum. Two sessions are available on Thursday, Aug. 22 and will provide faculty and staff with a financial aid overview through the life aid cycle of a student. Future forum topics will include an in-depth view of specific regulatory requirements and polices that impact various departments working with students.

New Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal Form

The Student Financial Aid Office has updated the Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal form with new deadlines. Please be advised that these deadlines go into effect immediately.

Financial Literacy Office Nationwide Recognition

The office of Financial Literacy, Educational Planning and Outreach housed in the Student Financial Aid office was recognized by LendEDU for being one of the top universities for their financial literacy program. WMU was ranked 35 out of 50 schools nationwide.
