The alumni of the Department of English at Western Michigan University have achieved success in countless fields of endeavor. They have built on the strong education they received at WMU by expressing creativity, pursuing innovation and discovery, and serving the community. Each year the Department of English at Western Michigan University nominates a remarkable alumnus or alumna for the Distinguished Alumni Award.
