Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Award

Twice a year, the College of Arts and Sciences awards funds to provide opportunities for undergraduates to collaborate with faculty members in professional activities outside the classroom such as hands-on research or creative activities. Contact your favorite faculty member and apply!

International Festival

Each spring WMU hosts an International Festival featuring dance, music, food and fashions representing the vast array of student cultures present at WMU. The festival attracts about 5,000 students and community members annually. During the event, attendees are able to "travel" around the world in a single evening while gaining an appreciation for the diversity of cultures represented on campus. It is generally organized by WMU's International Programs Council and the Campus Activities Board. Volunteers are always needed so keep an eye out for this even. Questions can be directed to

Community participation
