Faculty and students braved icy St. Patrick's Day roads to participate in the second annual CHHS Interprofessional Education Expo, which was focused on the topic of post-traumatic stress disorder.

The day began with Grand Rounds, where our interprofessional team led by Karen VanDeusen and Ineke Way (social work)Kathy Lewis-Ginebaugh and Delores Walcott (IHS)Steve Eberth (occupational therapy) and Denise Bowen (physician assistant) walked attendees through a case requiring input from multiple disciplines.

"Interprofessional practice is the norm. It only makes sense that interprofessional education has become increasingly prevalent," said Dr. Ann Tyler, acting dean of the College of Health and Human Services. "We established the IPE Expo to highlight the way we've embraced interprofessional education and collaboration, both with the departments in this college and with outside institutions, like the WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine."

After Grand Rounds, attendees headed to the atrium, where a number of students from different CHHS departments offered poster presentations on various topics.
