The forum will focus on the importance of interprofessionlism in creating effective public policy and improved health and human services provision—and outcomes—in all areas of society. Five of this year’s academy inductees who are currently directly involved in public health and public policy will open the forum with comments. They are: Israil Ali, M.P.A., John E. Crews, D.P.A., Bradley Finegood, M.A. LMHC, Amy Freeland, Ph.D., and Julie Shroyer, M.S.W.

An open question and answer and discussion will follow the initial comments, beginning with responses from the full complement of the 2014 outstanding alumni, including: Cynthia Bournazos, Ph.D., Gyl Kasewurm, Au.D., Imelda Reyes, D.N.P., and Jane Vernon, M.A.

Amy Curtis, Ph.D., director of the WMU Center for Health Data Research, Analysis and Mapping and professor in the WMU Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Ph.D. program, will moderate the forum.
