WMU Enhances Wireless Registration Experience

The Information Technology team has introduced improvements to the wireless registration process for WMU Secure and WMU Open, providing a faster and more intuitive first-time connection experience. When connecting, most devices will now automatically open the wireless registration portal, eliminating the need to manually find it or getting stuck in "registration limbo." Some devices may instead display an "Open network login page" prompt, which users can simply tap to access the portal. Additionally, the registration processing time has been dramatically reduced from 5 minutes to just 30 seconds, ensuring a quicker and smoother onboarding to campus Wi‑Fi.
