We prepare students to become forward-thinking leaders, scholars, and change agents across educational and organizational settings. Each program emphasizes the development of leadership theory, critical thinking, and practical application to address complex challenges in today’s learning environments. Students explore topics such as organizational systems, global perspectives, diversity and inclusion, and the evolving role of leadership in advancing equity and innovation. Designed for professionals at various career stages, these programs combine research-based inquiry with hands-on experiences that strengthen the ability to lead, teach, and inspire within higher education, adult learning, and organizational contexts—both locally and globally.
The HESA program offers a practice-based experience where I can apply and consolidate my academic learning and graduate assistantship practice in developing skills and competencies needed to thrive in the field.
"You're going to be able to spend time in the lab or with your professors or with small groups. Most of the classes that I took as a doctoral student had less than 15 students in them. And so it was really engaging. And I felt like I could get a lot from every one of the classes that I took."
