Sustainability Celebration

SUSTAINABILITY CELEBRATION

Find your sustainability community! WMU’s Office for Sustainability (OfS) invites you to the 2021 Sustainability Celebration on Friday, Sept. 17.

Beginning at noon, the OfS will host an open house that will showcase current programs, initiatives, and engagement opportunities. Light refreshments and EcoEssential distribution for new students. The event is designed to create new opportunities for advancing collaboration, making connections on campus and in the community, and celebrating sustainability at WMU and Kalamazoo.

The Sustainability Celebration will conclude with the Inclusive Bike Ride from 2 to 3 p.m. This bike ride is a weekly event designed to break down barriers for new and experienced cyclist who are looking to join a group ride in Kalamazoo. This opportunity is open to everyone, so bring your bike and join the fun!

Located on the corner of Howard and West Michigan Ave, the OfS is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The mission of the OfS is to guide and assist the Western Michigan University community in fulfilling and growing its sustainability commitments. Through building a diverse and flourishing learning community around sustainability, we will continually explore and develop new opportunities to create a culture of sustainability and improve quality of life for all.
