Hoop House
Two 30'x48' double wall hoop houses are used to extend opportunities for production and research at the Gibbs House and Office for Sustainability.
One of the hoop houses is dedicated to 4 season production of greens and produce that are shared with WMU Catering, Local Vendors, our Farm Stand, and other community opportunities as they arise.
The second hoop house is dedicated to variety of research projects including: vermiculture (worm composting), Black Soldier Fly Larvae (post-consumer waste composting), hot water composting, fertigation research, and we hope to install an outdoor aquaponics system into our research hoop Fall 2015.
