Western Michigan University health plan includes health coverage for travel abroad. AIG World Risk is a supplement for employees traveling abroad on authorized University business. The AIG Assist® program is available when you travel outside the USA and Canada on a sponsored trip for such things as:
Medical assistance and travel medical emergency services.
- Emergency cash—from personal funding source.
- Emergency message center.
- Evacuation and repatriation.
- Insurance coordination.
- Legal assistance.
- Lost baggage or passport assistance.
- Personal and pre-trip services.
- Other general assistance.

iJET World Cue Traveler
If travelers have questions about health and/or security issues they can sign up for the iJET WorldCue Traveler service. This travel intelligence service allows the traveler to search an extensive database to help prepare for travel abroad. It also sends traveler email alerts regarding changes in conditions in the country prior to and during the trip.
