Joe Hanson-McIntyre

Joe Hanson-McIntyre is an academic advisor in the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University.

Prior to joining WMU Haworth, Hanson-McIntyre worked in the Office of the Registrar as the coordinator of academic records. During his undergraduate career, he worked as a student office assistant in the Office of the Dean and the TRIO Future Educator Success Program in the College of Education and Human Development and as a student ambassador in the Office of Admissions.

Hanson-McIntyre's passion for higher education started when he was an office assistant and transcript clerk in the Office of Student Records at Grand Rapids Community College. His philosophy is: help students feel heard and seen, develop a sense of belonging, and discover their strengths and skills to thrive beyond college. These are elements that Hanson-McIntyre feels very fortunate to have had from his advisors during his time as an undergraduate at WMU.
