Jared Spiller graduated from Western Michigan University’s food and consumer package goods marketing program in 2008. While at Western, Spiller had critical experiences through the Food Marketing Association, grew his skill set in category management and retail merchandising, and completed a category analytics internship with McCormick & Company. Upon graduation, he joined The Kraft Heinz Company and has spent 14 years in various roles across retail execution, category management, sales planning and account sales.

Over his career, Spiller has touched the entire Kraft Heinz Company portfolio with extensive focus across his roles on Kraft Mac & Cheese, Capri Sun, Jell-O, Oscar Mayer, Stove Top Stuffing and Taco Bell. He works directly with various industry retailers, including Meijer, Associated Wholesale Grocers, Walmart, Publix and HEB, to grow their joint businesses together.

In 2021, Spiller, his wife Amber and their two children relocated back to West Michigan where he currently holds the role of customer vice president. His passions lie in people development and engagement, which quickly drew him back to WMU. He actively sits on the Food Marketing Advisory Board and leads Kraft Heinz’s re-engagement with the food marketing program at the Haworth College of Business.
