Partner, Plante Moran

Vicki VanDenBerg has been with Plante Moran almost 36 years, primarily focusing on the healthcare, not-for-profit and higher education practices.

She was the first woman promoted to partner in West Michigan in 2000. At that time, she also took over as leader for the firm’s higher education practice which had grown from serving four clients to just over 15. Under her leadership, Plante Moran’s higher education practice has expanded to include auditors and consultants nationwide, with more than 100 clients.

In 2014, VanDenBerg was named the office managing partner of Plante Moran’s Kalamazoo office where she supervises 125 staff that provide assurance and tax services, as well as overseeing Plante Moran financial advisors.

She is a frequent presenter for the National Association of College and University Business Officers, Central Association of College and University Business Officers, Purdue Accounting Forum and workshops for other regional and state associations. She is a member of numerous professional organizations and is a licensed CPA in Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin. She serves on the Department of Accountancy Advisory Board at WMU, is a board member and chair of the finance committee for Calhoun Christian School and also serves the Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity as a member of its finance committee.
